Melbourne Showground, Victoria, December 1939. Army School of Physical and Recreational Training exercising with medicine balls, mass drill, demonstrations of unarmed defence. Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Blamey, CB, CMG, DSO, inspects recruits then watches demonstration of driscoll punch pad by students of the school.
