Description
One of the dirty dilapidated huts as temporary accommodation for Australian and Allied prisoners of war, captured at Singapore, during their move from Tavoy to work in the Japanese railway project. Apparently these buildings were frequently used by the Japanese as staging camps because one hut had a sign on it which read;- "Hollandia for 95", meaning that 95 Dutchmen had been accommodated in that building.
