Description
Depicts the German Infantry Army with rifles raised about to attack on the battlefield. This work is a preliminary lithograph for the work 'Sturm' ART50229, made for the 24 December 1914 edition of 'Kriegszeit'. "Kriegszeit" was a pro-war journal produced from 1914-1916 by the Berlin art dealer Paul Cassirer. Max Liebermann (1847-1935) was a German-Jewish painter and printmaker, and one of the leading proponents of Impressionism in Germany.
