Instruction in mining
Description
In the left foreground sappers are receiving instructions in preparing a "face" for explosion as in mining operations. In the mid right is a gum tree with a low lying branch that extends to the centre of the composition. In the middle distance other sappers receive practical instruction in double apron wiring for defence entanglements. In the distance is Uranquinty, an air station.
