Description

14 Australian Antiaircraft Battery (Militia) Fixed Defences, Darwin. This crew saw action when the Japanese first bombed Darwin. The Battery of 4 guns had, shot down 2 planes certain, one probable. They had 150 alerts and had been in action 17 times, 15 were raids, two were reconnaissance planes. On the 15th February the Battery fired 320 rounds, Darwin.
