Presentation plaque : Marc Bromet, 2 Army Ordance Depot
Description
Wood laminate plaque in the shape of a shield. A metal scroll at the top contains the word 'VIETNAM' in black enamel. Below this on the left is an enamelled map of Vietnam. On the right are the crossed flags of Australia and South Vietnam with an engraved plaque below. The engraving reads 'MARC BROMET 2AOD SOCCER CLUB 1970'. The back of the plaque had a hinged stand for display.
History / Summary
This plaque, a souvenir of his time spent with the unit soccer team, was presented to Captain Marc Bromet of 2 Advanced Ordnance Depot. Bromet, who was born in July 1947, served in Vietnam with 2 AOD from 10 September 1970 to 30 September 1971. He then transferred to Head Quarters 1 Australian Task Force unitl 26 Februray 1972.
