Japanese Flare Pistol
Description
Japanese single barrel break open flare pistol. Frame stamped on the right side K F C, a circular symbol and an anchor mark. There is a barrel release catch on the top and a safety catch on the back strap. The grips are two piece checkered wood and there is a square lanyard ring on the butt.
History / Summary
This pistol was collected at Rabaul by the Fifth Military History Team. It was possibly originally issued to the Japanese Imperial Navy or Marines.
