Wilson, Thomas Joseph (Sergeant, b.1907 - d.1982)
Description
One original air mail letter written by QX39663 Sergeant (Sgt) Thomas Joseph Wilson whilst on active service in New Guinea with 3rd Australian Field Survey Company. The handwritten letter is dated 11 July 1943 and was sent to Sgt Wilson's daughter, Shirley, on the occasion of her 10th birthday. Includes a small coloured illustration of an indigenous person paddling a canoe in a standing position and is accompanied by the words 'Happy Birthday Shirley from Dad'.
