Informal outdoor portrait of 116 Sergeant (Sgt) David Murray Williamson, 13th Battalion, with his mother. A 20 year old clerk from Sydney, New South Wales, Sgt Williamson embarked from Melbourne, aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 22 December 1914. He was killed in action on Gallipoli Peninsula, 3 May 1915.
