Description

Crimea Medal with the bar 'SEBASTOPOL'. Recipient's name is engraved on the edge. Obverse: The diademed head of Queen Victoria with the date '1854' underneath and the legend 'VICTORIA REGINA' to the left and right on the circumference. Reverse: A Roman warrior holding a sword in his right hand and a circular shield in front of him with his left whilst being crowned by a small winged figure of Victory. The word 'CRIMEA' is written vertically on the left side. The medal is fitted with a swivel foliated suspender and piece of 27 mm light blue silk ribbon with yellow edges.

Awarded to 2672 Private W Good, 57 th Regiment of Foot, for campaign service in the Crimea, including the siege of Sebastopol, 1854-1855.
