Description
An unidentified Italian soldier covering a deceased Italian soldier. British and Commonwealth forces intially attacked Tobruk, which was under Italian control, on 22 January 1941, and the town fell the next morning. The operation resulted in approximately 27,000 Italian prisoners of war.
