Description
Members of the Royal Australian Army contingent of the inaugural uniformed Australian Defence Force (ADF) march in the Sydney Mardi Gras parade. The 2013 Mardi Gras parade was the first time Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex ADF personnel were allowed to march in uniform, openly representing the ADF. In all, 120 members of the ADF, from Army, Navy and Air Force marched in uniform at this parade. They were supported by members of the Defence Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Information Service (DEFGLIS).
