Description
Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. Obverse: The bust of George V in admiral's uniform facing left with the inscription 'GEORGIVS V BRITT: OMN: REX ET IND: IMP:' around the circumference. Reverse: A battle ship with the motto 'DIUTERNE FIDELIS' (Faithful for ever) at the base. The medal is fitted with a straight bar swivel suspender and a piece of 32 mm plain green ribbon.
History / Summary
Awarded to Able Seaman Thomas D Edmond for 12 years long service and good conduct in the Naval Volunteer Reserve. He served with the NSW Naval Contingent to China in 1900.
