Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of Leading Signalman John William Seabrook, HMAS Sydney. The diary recounts Leading Signalman Seabrook's time at sea serving on the HMAS Sydney between 1913 and 1918. It describes the places he visited and the various operations and actions the HMAS Sydney was involved in, including the Sydney-Emden encounter. Leading Signalman Seabrook also kept stamps from each port visited, which are pasted in the back in the shape of the Union Jack.
