Diary relating to the First World War service of Major Frederick Harold Tubb VC, 7th Battalion. The diary was written by Frederick Tubb between 1 January and 13 July 1917. In the diary, Tubb recounts his experiences in the trenches in France, the continuous bombardment, effectiveness of aerial attack, time on leave in Britain and comments on the results of the conscription plebiscite in Australia.
