Flying Officer (later Squadron Leader) Ivan Stanley Podger displays parachute equipment. This is one of a collection relating to the service of O0354 (154) Squadron Leader (later Group Captain) Ivan Stanley Podger. Enlisting with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in 1937, he went on to serve with the RAAF in the Second World War and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross on 20 November 1943 for displaying outstanding leadership whilst flying. Podger also served as one of the Commanding Officers of 91 Composite Wing, RAAF, in the Korean War.
