Unofficial embroided badge : Explosive Ordnance Demolition Team 2
Circular shaped velcro backed subdued olive drab and black patch. The badge features a large central foxhead motif.
This embroidered patch is representative of Australian Army Explosive Ordnance Demolition (EOD) teams deployed on Operation Slipper. EOD teams and operators formed a significant part of the ADF and Coalition effort at meeting and overcoming the major threat posed by Improvised Explosive Devices
This particular patch was commissioned by EOD Team 2 as an unofficial unit patch to wear whilst deployed on operations. Patches such as this are made to exert a units identity or pride. Often the designs used in these un-official patches represent a particular event, attitude or personality which the unit sees as significant or humourous. Velcro backed patches such as this can be worn on baseball style caps, shirts or on equipment such as backpacks.
