Description

Hubert Henry Bell's memoirs, "Wee Waa to Weewak, Recollections 1925-1946", in two volumes. Volume one is divided into two parts. In the first, Bell describes his family history and childhood. The second part details his time spent at Newington College, Stanmore when Bell was 12-18. The second volume covers the three years Bell served with 2/9th Commando Squadron between 1944 and 1946. Bell quotes each of the letters he sent home during this period and also adds further details from his recollections. Bell describes his experiences enlisting, training and his duties in New Guinea. Includes original poetry and photographs. Also includes indexes. Volume 1: 129 pages; Volume 2: 352 pages.
