Description
This work relates to the Second World War and emerged within the Solomon Islands series from research eX de Medici undertook while completing the commission. Soldiers from the United States First Division come ashore at Camp Gloucester, New Britain. This was the second landing of the First Marines, after Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands.
