Description

The military component of the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI) is a Combined Task Force (CTF) that is comprised of troops from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Tonga. The Royal Tongans are trained by the United States Marines. They have adopted many of the Marines rituals, including the weekly hair cut of a flat top and closely cropped sides. This haircut is taking place outside one of the accommodation demountables at the Guadalcanal Beach Resort (GBR). GBR is the main base for the military and police forces of RAMSI.
