Sub-series 1: Prisoner of War camps
Souvenirs 2, Concert and Theatre Programs Collection - First World War 1914-1918
- Series 7: Prisoner of war and internment camp concerts
Next Record >This sub-series contains concert programs made by prisoners of war in Germany. The concerts were held between 1916 and 1918. Many of the programs were hand-drawn by French-Belgian prisoners at Steinhorst. There are also a number of programs from performances given by the Theatrical Society of the Allied Officers' Prison Camp at Newbrandenburg.
This sub-series also contains a program for a play performed by the British Amateur Dramatic Society (B.A.D.S.) for captured British officers held at Holzminden Internment Camp. Included in this sub-series is a photo of unknown officers who produced a performance of the play Review. It is believed that these officers are related to the B.A.D.S. program.
