Description
Outdoor portrait of Ian Nicholson (on shoulders) and Ken Lancaster with their uncle 68827 Private Charles Wesley Lancaster, 15th General Service Reinforcements, of Lancaster, Vic. A farmer prior to enlistment, Lancaster was promoted to Corporal and embarked with his unit from Adelaide, on board HMAT Boonah (A36) on 22 October 1918. He became ill with pneumonic influenza and died at the Quarantine Station, Woodmans Point, WA, on 17 December 1918, aged 22. He is buried at the Perth War Cemetery and Annex.
