STEN Mk VI Silenced Submachine Gun
Description
STEN Mk VI Silenced Submachine gun. The barrel has a silencer built over the barrel and there is a canvas cover laced onto the jacket as a hand grip. The weapon has a 32 round staggered box magazine. There is a blade front sight and a rear aperture. The pistol grip and butt are made from wood. The receiver is marked DTI STEN MK VI M/78 S 106 and the serial number.
History / Summary
The Sten Mark VI is simply a Mark V fitted with a silencer much the same as that used on the Mk IIS silenced Sten gun. This type of weapon was used by Special Forces and Commando Companies.
