Studio portrait of 5387 Private (Pte) Edgar Joseph McIntyre, 26th Battalion, of Bell, Qld. A farmer prior to enlistment he embarked with the 14th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Itonus (A50) on 1 March 1916. Pte McIntyre died of wounds on 9 August 1918, aged 36. He is buried at Vignacourt British Cemetery, France.
