Studio portrait of 7060 Private Arthur Watt Knox, 2nd Battalion of Eltham via Lismore, NSW. A dairy farmer hand prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Benalla (A24) on 9 November 1916. He was wounded action, on 4 May 1917, at Bullecourt, France, and died shortly after on the way to the dressing station, aged 25. He is buried in the Arras Road Cemetery, Roclincourt, France.
