Studio portrait of Lieutenant (later Major) Thomas Patrick Elliott, 7th Light Horse Regiment (later 60th Battalion) of Auburn, NSW. A professional soldier prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Argyllshire (A8) on 20 December 1914. On 19 July 1916, at Fromelles, France, he was in killed action, aged 22. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the VC Corner Australian Cemetery and Memorial, Fromelles,
