Studio portrait of 3975 Private (later Lance Corporal) Broughton Taylor Luscombe, 4th Battalion of Hurlstone Park, NSW, brother of 2284 L Cpl Keith Taylor Luscombe, (died of wounds on 27 July 1916, see P08624.075). A clerk prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard the HMAT Medic (A7) on 30 December 1915. He was killed in action at Demicourt, France on 18 April 1917, aged 26. He is buried in the Lebucquiere Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
