Description

Group portrait of the crew members of the armed squad of HMAS Shropshire after the march of HMAS Australia, HMAS Shropshire and ships of the minesweeping flotilla through the streets of Melbourne in 1946. After the march a photographer inquired if they were interested in having the photograph taken and was told that they would be pleased to have it. Second Row, eleventh position from the left is S6599 Able Seaman (AB) Reginald E Hulbert a Radar operator, radar plotter on aircraft during action stations on the HMAS Shropshire. Second row, twenty fifth position from the left is Able Seaman (AB) Harold Laverty.
