This unit was formed at Wayville Showgrounds, SA, early in 1942 mainly from South Australians and a few Victorian enlistements. Known to be in the photograph are: Bob Sweet (third from left); Archie McLeay (eighth from left); SX15723 Sergeant Frank Clifford Skinner (centre, wearing cap); George Richter; 'Shark' Trengove; ? Major; SX15239 Craftsman Felix Kopti (legs apart, probably front, second from right); and Cliff Brown. The negative of this photograph was developed by fellow soldier SX12755 Cfn Lance Arthur (Monty) Montague, under a blanket propped up by a frame in a tent at the camp.
