< Previous Record | Next Record >Souvenir program for a concert held during the First World War. This program is for a concert held at the Connaught Rooms in Great Queen Street, London on 26 January 1917. The concert was the second annual 'corroboree' of the Australian Natives' Association to celebrate Australia Day. The concert was held in the Crown room with vocal performances, instrumentals and recitations. Piano accompaniment was provided by Josephine Lewis. A dance was also held in the Grand Hall from 8pm to 12pm. The program features the poems 'Australia My Country' by Dorothea Mackellar, 'The home-sick Anzac' by Trooper Bluegum and 'The mooch of life' by C J Dennis. Information about Australian nurses, the Anzac Club and Buffet and the Australian Natives' Association are also featured in the booklet.
