Description
Pair of anti-flash gloves with leather hand grips. The gloves are made from white Proban - a chemically treated cotton used in firefighting and flash proctection clothing. The gloves are elasticised at the top for wear over existing clothing and the hand areas on the gloves are made out of leather.
History / Summary
This item was collected aboard HMAS Kanimbla during Operation Slipper in 2001 and 2002. These gloves are designed for use by Operations Room personnel and differ from normal anti-flash gloves by way of the leather hand grips. These enable the wearer to retain tactile control when operating instruments.
