Studio portrait of WX17364 Private, later Acting Corporal (A/Cpl) Victor Roy Ridley of Maylands, WA. An engine driver before enlisting in October 1941, A/Cpl Ridley served in the Pacific campaign with the 2/32 Battalion. He was killed in action during the Battalion's amphibious landing at Scarlet Beach near Finschhafen, Papua New Guinea, on 22 November 1943, aged 36.
