Informal portrait, taken prior to enlistment, of N185615 Private (Pte) Arthur Louis Stratton, 2/5 Battalion, of Annandale, NSW (right) with two unidentified friends. Pte Stratton was a press hand prior to enlisting at Leichhardt, NSW, on 16 October 1941. He was killed in action in New Guinea on 17 July 1943 at the age of 21.
