Portrait of NX66214 Private (Pte) George Dunne, 2/10 Field Ambulance, Australian Army Medical Corps, of Batemans Bay, NSW. A labourer in civilian life, Pte Dunne enlisted on 4 December 1940. He became a prisoner of war of the Japanese and on 15 March 1942, died of illness in Japan, aged 24.
