Studio portrait of SX177 Private Murray Rutherford who was a 26 year old from Unley Park, South Australia when he joined the Army on 20 October 1939. He was a Sergeant serving with the 2/10 Australian Infantry Battalion when he was demobilised on 9 January 1946. One of 86 photographs displayed on an honour board showing members of the Adelaide Rowing Club who enlisted for active service in the Second World War. The original is held by the Adelaide Rowing Club who kindly loaned the board to the Australian War Memorial for copying.
