Informal outdoor portrait of NX35607 Private (Pte) William Albert Stevenson of Wagga Wagga, NSW. Enlisting in the Second AIF in June 1940, Pte Stevenson served in the Pacific campaign with the 2/19 Battalion, and was killed in action during the Japanese attack on Singapore on 15 February 1942. Aged 33 at the time of his death, he has no known grave.
