Studio portrait of F4308 Able Seaman (AB) Arthur Reginald Flores of Perth, WA. Enlisting in the RAN in June 1942, AB Flores was on leave in Perth from HMAS Leeuwin in Fremantle when he was involved in a fight with an American sailor. He sustained extensive injuries and died in Perth Military Hospital on 13 June 1944, age 20. The American sailor was court-martialled, found guilty of voluntary manslaughter, and served three years in a naval prison.
