Description
A United States (US) 6x6 M45 armoured gun truck with quad .50 calibre M2 heavy machine guns fitted on a Maxon mount. The Maxon mount was developed by the US during the Second World War as an anti aircraft platform and was fitted to a variety of wheeled and tracked vehicles. The vehicle here was used to escort and protect road convoys in South Vietnam. An Australian Army International Mk IV GS truck and a Land Rover are visible in the background.
