Wreckage of Beaufighter A8-184 after crashing at Labuan Island, North Borneo. The Beaufighter, of No. 93 Squadron RAAF, was taking off when it hit loose earth at the side of the runway, bouncing over two parked P51 Mustangs, sideswiping two others and finally crashing beside the strip. The pilot was thrown clear but the five RAAF passengers on board were incinerated.
