Mortar damage on the road near the Kantara (Qantara) Control Centre, the headquarters of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) on the east side of the Suez Canal. Major Roy Skinner, an Australian United Nations Military Observer (UNMO) and Officer in Charge of the Kantara Control Centre, had been travelling from the UNMO residence to the Kantara Control Centre when the mortar landed 200 metres in front of his vehicle.
