Studio portrait of NX72192 Private (Pte) Gerald Joseph Wood of Griffith, New South Wales. Pte Wood enlisted in the second AIF in March 1941, and served in the Pacific theatre with the 2/3 Battalion. He was killed when a Japanese patrol attacked his platoon on the Sanananda Track on 12 December 1942.
