Description

Studio portrait of brothers 765 Private Leonard Glover (left) and 766 Lance Corporal William Reevell Glover (right), both of the 5th Machine Gun Company. Private Leonard Glover went missing, and, following an inquiry, was determined to have died 5th May 1917 during the Battle of Bullecourt, aged 20 years. The brothers embarked with B Company, 17th Battalion then transferred to the 5th Machine Gun Company when machine gun units were formed. William Glover was later promoted to Sergeant and served as a Company Quartermaster Sergeant.
