Studio portrait of 7212 Private (Pte) Charles Edwin Connor, 6th Battalion, of Buchan, Vic. Pte Connor embarked from Australia with the 24th Reinforcements on HMAT Ballarat (A70) on 19 February 1917. He was killed in action on 4 October 1917 at Ypres, Belgium. Pte Connor has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.
