Description
45th Infantry Battalion (The St George Regiment) hat badge. The badge has a voided image of St George, naked, except for a helmet and cloak, astride a horse, slaying a dragon. Beneath the dragon is the motto 'QUO FATA VOCANT' in raised letters. Underneath the text is a voided number '45' , within a garter bearing the words 'THE ST GEORGE REGIMENT'.
History / Summary
Associated with the service of NX93640 Craftsman Thomas Sydney Turner who served with Army Water Transport, Royal Australian Engineers, during the Second World War. Turner enlisted on 25 March 1942 and was discharged on 8 January 1946. He had previously served in the militia with 45th Infantry Battalion.
