Nihongun shôhei shokun [To officers and men of the Japanese Army].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. An English translation of the text is attached. The message states that Japanese soldiers cannot fight off various diseases haunting them in the jungle without supplies and medicines. It states that POWs under the Allied Forces will receive food and medical treatment and they can have new hope for the future once their health is restored.
