Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia. A message in Japanese is printed on one side of a fine paper and an English translation of the Japanese text is provided on the back. Copies of the leaflet appear to have been attached to the ashes of Japanese servicemen whose bodies could be identified and were cremated by the Allied Forces. The message asks the Japanese forces to take the ashes back to the dead soldiers' families in Japan.
