Description
An M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) with ARN 134267, which has been specially modified to serve as a mine exploder or mine killer, has just detonated a mine during a mine clearing run in the barrier minefield that runs from the Horseshoe feature to the coast. The vehicle, which has been redesignated Her Majesty's APC Steele, has a boom consisting of reinforced steel pipe projecting at right angles from it. Heavy truck tyres fitted onto the boom roll over the ground, following its contours and exploding mines behind the vehicle.
