Collection relating to the Douglas brothers
Description
Hand coloured studio portrait of 848 Lance Corporal, Alan Edward Douglas, 20th Battalion, of Erskineville, NSW. He enlisted on 28 March 1915 and embarked from Sydney, NSW, on 25 June 1915 aboard HMAT Berrima (A35). He was killed in action on the Western Front on 30 July 1916, aged 22. This portrait is the centre panel in a framed group of the three Douglas brothers.
