Description
Original grave marker of 2866 Trooper (Tpr) Robert Raymond Dawson, 20th Reinforcements, 3rd Light Horse Regiment, of Orroroo, SA. A farmer prior to enlisting on 31 December 1915, he embarked from Adelaide aboard SS Walwa on 27 July 1916. Tpr Dawson was killed in action whilst stretcher bearing on 31 October 1917, at Beersheba, aged 23 years. At the head of each grave a gum tree has been planted.
