An unidentified soldier of the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), sits on top of overhead protection writing a letter. The curved corrugated iron is sand bagged and can be used to store equipment or rest under. Mortar boxes and webbing kits are stacked around the soldier, his M16A1 automatic rifle rests against a box at his feet and next to it is a helmet, inscribed 'South Australia, Hahndorf'.
